Accidents
A car accident my Mom had was actually one of the causes that sparked my want to make this website. As an American, its protocol to wait for police to arrive to the scene regardless of the severity of the accident, however this is not something customary here in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, when my Mom had been in a small car acciednet, she had waited for the police to arrive. Luckily, we now know how to handle the aftermath of a situation such as this. This being said, there are different protocols on how to handle a car accident depending on the severity of the case. If the car accdient is minor, both parties may fill out a claim form with their insurracne, and than leave the premices, no police or handhaving needed. However, if you are tangled in a severe car crash with the possibility of injuries, its recomended to first call 112, and than follow the claim proceed accordingly. These rules also may apply regarding bike, moped and motorcycle accidents.
